The Horace Train House
The residence built by Captain Horace B. Train (1821 – 1879), a Civil War Surgeon and home to his first wife Cornelia and second wife Harriet. The structure retains its original classic Greek Revival architecture with frieze, pediment, porch, columns, six over six elongated windows, beveled siding, insignificant chimneys and recessed entrance with a four panel door flanked by side lights and transom. It is a fine classic among the many Greek Revival residences found in Sheffield today.
